Bill and Al purchased an existing automotive repair enterprise in Clearlake in August of 2005 and changed the name to A-B Collision Repair. The business has grown consistently since they took it over by delivering quality workmanship.
A-B Collision is direct repair certified by AAA and a Geico recommended collision repair center in the Lake County area. Farmers Insurance has recognized A&B Collision in their Circle of Dependability program.
A&B Collision is recognized by all insurance companies they deal with as a business of high integrity and quality workmanship.
i-Car has recognized A&B Collision as a Gold Class repair shop. This means high-quality repairs and a vehicle that is not only beautiful, but is safe to drive after repairs.
Owners Al Valencia and Bill Stone combined have over 45 years experience in the collision repair industry and continue to receive training year round to keep up with new technology and all the changes in the collision repair industry. Al and Bill are very active in Lake County helping to improve the area while supporting the economic growth and future of the area.

Meet Us
Bill Stone, President
Bill has been in the automotive collision repair business for 29 years. Bill’s extensive career in the collision repair industry has literally been from the ground up. Commuting from Sonoma County to San Francisco for 5 years, he started by sweeping the floors and began to learn the trade of a body man. He later worked for 18 years in Sonoma County body shops and advanced from being a body man to a shop manager. In 2004, Bill and his family moved to Lake County and he went to work for Automotive Enterprises in Clearlake as the shop manager. A year later, he and his business partner, Alvaro Valencia, purchased the business and operate it as A & B Collision, Inc. Bill runs production on the shop floor, handles all parts, paint and equipment purchases, as well a heading up marketing and promotion. A & B Collision is Lake County’s only automotive collision repair business that offers free loaner cars to its customers. In addition to his hands on training, Bill has over 200 hours of technical shop training and 100 hours of management training from professional auto body associations. Bill loves being an entrepreneur. He loves the opportunities, freedom, and challenges that come with owning a business. He is also passionate about the environment and takes great effort to recycle, reuse and reduce in his business and his home. Bill makes it a priority to stay involved in his community. He is a member of the Clearlake Oaks / Glenhaven Business Association, Lake County Chamber of Commerce, Clearlake Chamber of Commerce, Northshore Business Association, Clearlake Rotary, and the California Auto Body Association. Bill enjoys the beautiful Lake County outdoors and spends time boating, hiking, fishing and gardening. He is married and a father and grandfather to many.
Alvaro Valencia, Vice-President
Alvaro has been in the collision repair industry for 17 years. He is a graduate from Heald Business College with an associates degree in business administration. Also starting from the bottom up where he parked cars and swept floors at a Santa Rosa body shop, Alvaro advanced into the office and became trained and proficient in writing estimates and providing quality customer service. Alvaro is certified with Mitchell Training and CCC Pathways Training. Additionally he has numerous I-Car certifications regarding proper repairs on vehicles. An added bonus is that Alvaro is bilingual in Spanish and English, which allows A & B Collision to expand their market reach. 16% of Lake County’s population is Hispanic. Alvaro handles all estimates, invoicing, customer and insurance company relations as well as marketing and promotion. Alvaro is committed to have the shop be the best in LakeCounty for repairs and customer service and says they can do that and grow every year by having a positive attitude and staying involved in the community. Alvaro is a board member of the Clearlake Chamber of Commerce, the Lakeshore Lions Club, and the Clearlake Car Show. He is also the director for the scholarship fund of the Clearlake Oaks / Glenhaven Business Association. Alvaro is a committed single parent raising his nine-year old son who is active in football and little-league baseball.
